Caprice D. Haverty, pH.D. (PSY 13202)

Dr. Haverty has been treating men who commit sexual offenses and victims of sexual assault for over thirty years. She has been a strong advocate for the continued healing of both groups as well as the involvement of affected families and communities. She also works with the men, their families and communities to facilitate reconciliation and re-unification. She is the founder of CORR and the Co-Executive Director of A Step Forward, Inc. A CASOMB-certified treatment provider, she co-created and currently directs A Step Forward’s Men's program. In addition, she conducts risk assessments and provides forensic testimony.

Charles Patton

Mr. Patton is a member of CORR who serves as a paraprofessional to help facilitate monthly meetings. He is the creator and facilitator of My Destiny workshops and coaching. He has helped over 10,000 people from all walks of life--from people in prison to humanitarian/actor Danny Glover-- uncover and solve problems in their daily lives. Charles has created, staffed and facilitated programs for the general public, for churches, transitional housing facilities, prisons, and city and county agencies. He is a contributor to the radio show “Real Life Talk”. His courses and workshops cover a wide variety of topics from overcoming fear, home ownership, business leadership, procrastination, and spirituality.

Flor de María Sánchez, psy.d., lmft (LMFT 44031)

Flor de María Sánchez, Psy.D., LMFT, has an extraordinary background, bringing her native language of Spanish and rich life-experience to her current position as a therapist at A Step Forward and now as a group facilitator with CORR. Dr. Sánchez has been providing mental health services in the greater Bay Area for over 30 years. She built her career at the UCSF Trauma Recovery Center; Catholic Charities; the Santa Clara County Juvenile Detention Center; and the Santa Clara County Department of Alcohol & Drugs Services. She developed a strong background in PTSD, dual diagnosis and anxiety issues and had the opportunity to work with clients from many ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Dr. Sánchez currently provides specialized treatment to child victims of sexual assault and domestic violence and their families; sexually exploited teens and their families; as well as conducting general therapy. She also works with men who have committed sexual offenses. Dr. Sánchez is bilingual in English and Spanish.


 
CORR facilitators are available to consult and present about the value of CORR. They also testify in judicial proceedings for people who have committed sexual offenses who need support after being released back into the community.

Anna weisberg, ph.d. (PSY 14651)

Anna Weisberg, Ph.D. is a clinical and forensic psychologist who has been working with children, adults, and families impacted by abuse and developmental trauma for over 25 years. Dr. Weisberg is certified by CASOMB (California Sex Offender Management Board), treats men and women who have committed sexual offenses and/or struggle with sexual addiction, and frequently provides expert witness testimony in court cases regarding child victims and non-offending parents. She is particularly interested in helping families heal and reunite safely after sexual abuse and boundary violations have resulted in separation. Dr. Weisberg is Co-Executive Director of A Step Forward, Inc. and currently directs the Child and Family Program.

Jeanette Miklich, M.A. (AMFT 130532)

Jeanette Miklich, M.A., completed her Master of Psychology degree at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, California. She is currently working toward becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Jeanette has been a preschool teacher for over 20 years and has trained other teachers. Ms. Miklich found an interest in working with people through conflict which led her to get a Certificate in Conflict Resolution and a Certificate in Restorative Justice. She has taught adult students with health and mental development issues and has taught anger management classes for those who have gone through the court system and were required to take said classes. Ms. Miklich currently serves as Vice President of Community Of Resource & Resolution’s (CORR) Board of Directors and co-facilitates CORR’s Family Support Group.

rick barclay

Rick Barclay has been a steadfast supporter and participant in Community Of Resource & Resolution (CORR) since its inception in 2008. He currently sits on the CORR Board of Directors where he serves as a Member-At-Large. In addition to his work on the Board, Mr. Barclay co-facilitates the alternating Core (formerly Men’s Support Group) and Community Support Group meetings each month. As a contract paraprofessional with A Step Forward, Inc., he provides group co-facilitation with licensed therapists and supervised individual support services to those who have caused sexual harm. Beyond service delivery, Mr. Barclay provides presentations to graduate level psychology classes on the subject of Sex Offender Treatment. Mr. Barclay earned a Certificate of Achievement in Addiction Studies from Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California, and is a recent graduate of Contra Costa County’s SPIRIT Program. He is currently in the process of earning his Peer Support Specialist certification through the California Department of Health Care Services.
